Abstract

The Character Filter Exclusive (CFE) requires a word of a given input text be rejected if any characters of the input word match CFE characters. Contrast the CFE with the Character Filter Inclusive(CFI) where the CFI requires that for any given word of a given input text, the word must have all the characters of the CFI. Thus, the disjunction and of sets in set theory is applicable.

Introduction

The CFE came out of work in Word Transformation Poetics, specifically the GraphicWord Tool although it finds general utility in forming word sets where the resultant set is the disjunction of an input text with a filter.

Given word group G where g1 to gn are the ordered set of G elements (words) and filter F where f1 to fm are the elements (characters) of F, let the set R equal the result where filter F eliminates any g that has any of the F elements. Thus,

Let F be the Character Filter Exclusive (CFE), alias Forbidden Character Filter. Use the Character Filter Exclusive to confine words to graph regions of the y-axis of a GraphicWord Poetic. See the Character Filter Inclusive for a CFI to CFE comparision .
